By his early teens he was already playing for hire, writing, recording and producing original music in genres that include rock, pop, alternative, electronic, industrial, R&B, blues, Americana, and DJ/live drum combos. His versatility as a drummer, vocal abilities and knowledge of electronic drums made him a valuable asset to whatever musical operation he’s been involved in.
Since 2004 Mark has played nationally with guitar virtuoso and vocalist Laith Al-Saadi who’s popularity increased to new heights after reaching the final four on NBC’s The Voice in 2016 allowing his records to reach #10 on the iTunes rock charts & #1 on the blues charts. In 2012 Damian moved west working with a handful bands and solo artists in the Los Angeles area including British-born artist, Julien Shah-Tayler. The two performed together as The Singularity. Recordings would follow including “Emptiness” which Mark co-produced, mixed and performed drums, bass, and backing vocals. The two continue to record together having released more recent material like “ForEva” , “Panic in Detroit” and more.
From 2015 to 2022 Mark recorded and performed live with synth rock artist Josie Pace releasing a number of singles and eventually a full length album IV0X10V5 (Negative Gain Records) that included “Battleground”,“Fire” and “Perfect Replacement” (featuring Sammi Doll from IAMX / Kat Von D).
In 2022, Damian began his work as touring drummer/vocalist for legendary guitarist, Jeff “SKUNK” Baxter (Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers). After multiple tours of the United States and Japan supporting Baxter’s solo release “Speed of Heat”, Damian continues to work with the two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee with more dates to be announced for 2026 and potential recordings.
In 2024, producer/songwriter/keyboardist, CJ Vanston (Prince, Tears for Fears, ‘NSync, Barbra Streisand, Ringo Starr, Celine Dion, Bob Seger, Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, Toto), requested Mark’s drum and percussion work on a Kenny Loggins recording, co-written with Richard Marx.
