It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these shameless self-promotion drum videos so here’s the latest. I chose a beautiful song called “Open Up” by an electronic duo from Manchester, England called Lamb. While revisiting their 2003 release, Between Darkness and Wonder, this song jumped out as a perfect song to easily integrate some live drumming, apparently tastefully enough to get their blessing! This will most likely be the last “cover song” video I do. The focus shall be on original content from this point on. Until the next one please enjoy…

Earlier this month an indie film called “Mancation” came out featuring Joey Fatone and Danica McKellar. I was pleased to contribute drums and the final mix for my composer friend Gene Micofsky on a catchy little number called “Body Rocker” he wrote and produced for the film.

Had a wonderful trip back to the midwest to do 9 shows in 10 days and visit with family & friends. Playing with the Lucas Paul Bandand the Laith Al-Saadi Band the shows ranged from small club dates to full-on concerts. Caping off the Michigan dates the Laith Al-Saadi Trio turned into a seven piece band with keyboards provided by Chris Codish and beautiful horn arrangements by the infamous Motor City Horns. Thornetta Davis and her band took the stage immediately after our set. Both bands joined together on stage including myself and Todd Glass (dueling drum kits!) for a three song encore.

Finally get to emerge from the studio for some live gigs this month! I’ll be covering for my drummer friend, Sunny Malick, in his fantastic electro brit pop band, The Singularity. I love this band! I’ll have to bust out my finest Antony Price attire for the occasion.

My indie-folk friends, At Average, have released their EP, Black Hatted. Drums by yours truly.
